The terms and conditions that apply when you use ForwardWorks services or purchase a Skills Lab course.

Agreement to These Terms

By visiting forwardworks.net or purchasing a ForwardWorks Skills Lab course, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them before making a purchase. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or purchase our courses.

These terms apply to all visitors, learners, and organizations that access or use our website and services.

About Our Services

ForwardWorks, LLC provides disability consulting services and the ForwardWorks Skills Lab — a suite of cohort-based, plain-language workplace readiness courses delivered through YesLMS. Our courses are designed to be accessible and inclusive for all learners, including people with disabilities.

Course Purchases and Enrollment

When you purchase a Skills Lab course:

  • Payment processing: Payments are processed securely through Stripe, Inc. By completing a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • Authorization to charge: By providing a payment method, you authorize ForwardWorks Consulting, LLC to charge that payment method for all applicable fees, taxes, and charges associated with your purchase.
  • Pricing and taxes: All prices are listed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes. You are responsible for any taxes or additional fees associated with your purchase.
  • Access to courses: Your purchase grants you access to the purchased course(s) for one learner through YesLMS.
  • Account setup: After your payment is confirmed, you will receive an email with instructions to access your course. Please allow up to 24 hours for your YesLMS account to be created.
  • Personal use: Course access is personal and non-transferable. You may not share your login credentials with others.
  • Group purchases: Organizations purchasing seats for multiple learners should contact us at info@forwardworks.net to arrange group enrollment.
  • Data sharing: In order to process payments and prevent fraud, certain personal and payment information may be shared with Stripe, Inc. in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Our refund policy is as follows:

  • Full refund: You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase, provided you have not accessed any course materials.
  • No refund after access: Accessing course materials (including logging into YesLMS or viewing any portion of the course content) constitutes use of the service and makes the purchase ineligible for a refund.
  • Technical issues: If you experience technical problems that prevent you from accessing your course, contact us within 14 days of purchase. We will work with you to resolve the issue or, at our discretion, provide a refund.
  • How to request a refund: To request a refund, contact us at info@forwardworks.net with your order details.
  • Disputes and chargebacks: If you believe a charge was made in error, you agree to contact us before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your payment provider. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our services in cases of fraudulent or abusive chargebacks.

Certificates of Completion

Upon successfully completing a Skills Lab course, you will receive a certificate of completion. Certificates are issued by ForwardWorks and reflect your completion of the course content. They are not academic credentials or professional licenses. ForwardWorks makes no guarantees regarding employment outcomes, salary changes, or other results from course completion.

Acceptable Use

When using our website and courses, you agree not to:

  • Share, copy, or distribute course materials without written permission from ForwardWorks
  • Use our site or services for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our site or systems
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users or ForwardWorks staff
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms without refund.

Intellectual Property

All content on forwardworks.net — including course materials, text, graphics, logos, and design — is the property of ForwardWorks, LLC and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Third-Party Links and Services

Our site may contain links to third-party websites (such as YesLMS, Stripe, or partner organizations). These links are provided for convenience. ForwardWorks is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site. Visiting those sites is at your own discretion.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Our website and courses are provided "as is." ForwardWorks makes no warranties, expressed or implied, about the accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose of any content or service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to our site or to YesLMS.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ForwardWorks, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or courses. Our total liability for any claim arising from a course purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for that course.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Fairfax County, Virginia.
