Our team works with federal and state agencies to deliver training and technical assistance to improve disability employment outcomes, accessibility and return-to-work programs, and strengthen collaboration to increase efficiencies.
Business
We help businesses source veterans and candidates with disabilities, train employment service providers to balance the supply and demand sides of the employment equation and help federal contractors comply with veteran and Section 503 requirements. We also provided inclusive focus groups to drive authentic messaging to capture the disability market.
Non-Profit
We help non-profits with organizational management services, advocacy, and development. Our team conducts research, provides design and delivery of training materials and toolkits, provides training and technical assistance, program evaluation, and other capacity-building services.

Social Security’s Ticket to Work Program
Our team provides consulting support services for Social Security’s Ticket to Work Program. ForwardWorks supports the communications and outreach program to connect with Social Security beneficiaries across the country. This includes the planning, creation and delivery of a robust marketing and communications mix, including website content, newsletters and blogs, social media, and national webinars. Further, we provide training and technical assistance oversight and services for the staff supporting the nation’s Employment Networks, Social Security’s service providers helping beneficiaries return to work.

National Disability Mentoring Coalition
ForwardWorks has provided program management, communications, and public relations support for the National Disability Mentoring Coalition, a national network of mentoring programs housed at Partners for Youth with Disabilities. This network includes over 300 programs serving youth and students. ForwardWorks also created and managed @DisMentors, the Coalition’s X account (now @NDMC_PYD) of over 4,000 Followers. ForwardWorks coordinated Coalition meetings and events with Members of Congress, Executive Branch leaders and other representatives to advance its policy agenda to advance mentoring as a disability inclusion strategy in the United States.

Disability: IN
ForwardWorks provides consulting support for Inclusion Works, a Community of Corporations moving disability inclusion forward in the workplace, marketplace and supply chain. This work includes providing technical assistance and consulting support on disability and accessibility around the world.

Peer MentoringWorks
ForwardWorks has long-standing partnership with PolicyWorks in the design and delivery of successful national peer mentoring projects. These experiences and networks support youth and students with all types of disabilities through the Peer MentoringWorks (PMW),
a collection of training, resources, and tools that are essential for certifying and providing peer mentoring support to students, youth, and adults. The PMW mission is to drive self-determination and transition to independence through effective peer mentoring. ForwardWorks assists with the development and delivery of the PMW training modules and technical guides.

World Institute on Disability
ForwardWorks provided strategic planning, branding and program management support services to the World Institute on Disability (WID). This work includes short and long-range planning, metrics establishment, the establishment of a modern development strategy, and a complete rebranding of the organization.

The Peer MentoringWorks Networking Activity Guide is a plain language, interactive resource designed to help peer mentors and mentees build confidence and skills in networking, self-advocacy, and professional communication. The guide includes structured activities, conversation starters, and reflection prompts that support relationship-building and goal setting in both educational and employment settings. Whether used in one-on-one mentoring sessions or group workshops, the guide helps participants practice real-world scenarios, identify personal strengths, and develop strategies for making meaningful connections that support career and life transitions.

The Workplace Mentoring Playbook
The Workplace Mentoring Playbook is a practical guide to help employers design, implement, and sustain effective mentoring programs that are inclusive of people with disabilities. Grounded in research and best practices, the playbook outlines key components of successful mentoring initiatives—including program structure, mentor-mentee matching, training, and evaluation—while emphasizing the value of accessible and inclusive approaches. It also provides actionable strategies and real-world examples to support workplace cultures that foster growth, connection, and advancement for all employees.

Let’s Work! Finding a Job Activity Guide
The Let’s Work! Finding a Job Activity Guide is a practical, plain language resource designed to support individuals with disabilities in exploring career options, developing job search skills, and preparing for employment. Through step-by-step activities, users learn how to identify their strengths, set employment goals, create resumes, prepare for interviews, and understand workplace expectations. Whether used independently or with the support of a peer mentor or employment specialist, the guide empowers participants to take an active role in their job search and build the confidence needed to succeed in today’s workforce.
